Transition Stourbridge is launching LETS – ‘Local Exchange Trading Stourbridge’. This is a local trading scheme, where you can trade goods and services with other members without spending conventional money.
We ourselves are working on getting a small community publication going for the Stourbridge area which will feature local people and organisations who are contributing to the community through looking after the environment, charity-work, or social enterprise.
The aim of the publication is to help projects and people connect. We are sure there are many good things happening in and around Stourbridge, but not everyone knows about it. We’d like to change that.
Anyone interested in helping us out, do get in contact.
Our very own Tony Laycock will soon be joining Alex Jackson on The Bridge Radio (102.5 fm) to talk about Transition Stourbridge and local issues.
Listen in to “The Big Brunch” from 11am-2pm on a Saturday and you may well catch him.
Here is a short video by Marches Energy Agency who are working with us to implement the Low Carbon Communities project in and around Stourbridge. It shows the work that they have already completed with some communities in Shropshire and explains what the project is about. Continue reading “So what is the Low Carbon Communities project?”
