Interested in connecting food and community ?

How do you source good fresh food at affordable prices, and how do local farmers  supply local people and gain a fair price for their produce?

Buying groups and food co-ops are an innovative and practical way that local people can organise themselves into groups, and order food direct, taking control of where their food comes from.

This event will explain how buying groups and co-ops work, look at some case studies, and offer guidance on how to start a new group.

There will be time for discussion and networking where you might find existing groups in your area, connect with suppliers or be inspired to start a new initiative.

If you are a community group, producer, transition group, food social enterprise, existing co-op, public health professional, or anyone else with an interest in community food, then come along and find out more.
