Next River Stour clean-up event

Date: Sunday 23rd February

Time: 10.15 for 10.30

Where: Bridge Street, Cradley Heath (map)

The river follows Butcher’s Lane and Overend Road. If we park up at Bridge Street, there is an enormous quantity of litter where the river path meets the road at the far end. This is a very good moment to do it before the vegetation starts to grow. It would be great to clean it up!

Working in the river will be impossible for a while, but we can clean up the banks and area around it.

 Film Night

The film Message in the Waves will be shown at the United Reformed Church just off the Queensway/Hagley Road roundabout, Halesowen.

Date: Thursday 27th February: 7.15 for 7.30

There is parking round the back just to the left of the building.

 Looking Forward…

I’m looking forward to the day we can get into our new boat and let it do some of the work for us. Also I hope we’ll be able to explore some of the more difficult more unreachable areas. It’s good to dream!

If the weather is truly awful I will be in touch nearer the time to confirm cancellation of the event. Otherwise we’ll be there to go ahead. Hope to see you!
