The Circular Economy – Free Business Support locally

FREE Business Support for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West Midlands

NISP Network is a business opportunity programme, devised and managed by International Synergies Ltd, which aims to help businesses cut cost by making better use of their resources to move towards a Circular Economy.

How NISP Network can help

Instead of being destroyed, undervalued as a by-product or sent to landfill, waste streams and other under-utilised resources generated by industrial processes are redirected for use by other companies as raw material inputs, typically from different sectors, providing a mutual benefit. NISP Network’s role is to facilitate discussions between different organisations, identifying reuse opportunities for materials and resources from one company for use by another, either in the same condition or reprocessed for a different use. FILM: Trashed (with Jeremy Irons) – Friday 14th June

trashed_movie_poster_a3_web_v3When: Friday 14th June 7.30 for 8pm

Where: The Duke William, Coventry Street, Stourbridge, DY8 1EP

What: Film – TRASHED (with Jeremy Irons)

We buy it, we bury it, we burn it and then we ignore it. Does anyone think about what happens to all the trash we produce? We keep making things that do not break down. We have all heard these horrifying facts before, but with Jeremy Irons as our guide, we discover what happens to the billion or so tons of waste that goes unaccounted for each year.

Each year, we now throw away fifty-eight billion disposable cups, billions of plastic bags, 200 billion litres of water bottles, billions of tons of household waste, toxic waste and e-waste. Irons sets out to discover the extent and effects of the global waste problem, as he travels around the world to beautiful destinations tainted by pollution.

This is a meticulous, brave investigative journey that takes Irons (and us) from scepticism to sorrow and from horror to hope. Brady’s narrative is vividly propelled by an original score created by Academy Award winning composer Vangelis.
